JOURNEY HOME

The moment our souls departed
from the glory of His home,
to nestle in our mother’s womb
we commenced our journey home

The first excursion that we take
is so short and causes pain,
but discomfort is forgotten
when our mother’s arms we gain.

Tiny legs begin to walk
many a tumble we sustain,
tears are wiped, a bandaid hug
and we’re on the road again.

As we grow in strength and confidence
legs take us off to class,
the tears of child and parent
soon forgotten, they don’t last.

In this time of learning
we seldom realize,
the plan the Father has for us
life’s events befog our eyes.

His patience, as He waits for us
to finally grasp the truth,
that without His help and guidance
we’ll forever stay aloof.

Oft’ times we make a wrong turn
down paths that often lead,
our souls to sin and darkness
by wantonness and greed.

But by the loving grace of God
before it is too late,
we get the chance to change our course
and follow in His wake.

Down the roads of peace and joy
never more to roam,
He awaits us smiling–beckoning
as we complete our Journey Home.

CRADLE OF LOVE

Rock me Jesus, rock me
in the cradle of Your love,
You are the gentle comforter
whose hands caress me from above.

Heal all my deepest wounds and hurts
give me strength that I will need,
to do the will of God the Father
in thought, in word, in deed.

I am just a newborn baby
much to learn with each new day,
Your hands I need to guide me
what to do and what to say.

In times of need, please whisper Lord
words of hope to calm life’s fears,
Your Word , the only healing balm
speak it gently in my ears.

When I feel cold and lonely
and I need a place to rest,
wrap me in the blanket of Your love
my head nestled on Your breast.

A MOTHER’S LOVE

Come all my little children
with your wounds that are soul deep,
with bodies bruised and battered,
enough to make this mother weep.

All the damages that have been done
have left their marks within,
your innocence so often taken,
by the grievous, foulest sin.

The hands that should have shown but love,
in darkest moments caused great pain,
tongues that should have spoken words of love,
caused your tears to fall like rain.

I have a place of comfort
where your tears will ever cease,
all anxieties and tensions
soon all, will be released.

Come and cuddle up and rest
never more to part,
I will teach you how to love again,
In My Immaculate Heart.

SILENCE IN THE STORM

There is a tempest brewing
confusion and disorder do abound,
on this planet that keeps spinning
with corruption, round and round.

There are many voices crying
their falsehoods to mankind,
minds tangled up with messages
and the blind leading the blind.

So lost, we search and stumble
on these paths that lead no where,
like lambs unto the slaughter
led by people who don’t care.

There is a place where we can go
where truth begins to form,
a place of peace and silence
in the eye, of life’s dark storm.

In silence we begin to hear
His Word, filling up our souls,
His breath blows away confusion
bringing love and peace untold.

THE LOST SHEEP

Life’s roads have oft’ times led you
to walk where My light shone not,
on paths of murky darkness
all was Satan’s evil plot.

And though the distance that you placed
between yourself and Me,
you were always there, within My sight
full of patience I was for thee.

The time you spent so far from Me
no matter–days or years,
turn from the dark and call my name
there’s nothing you should fear.

I am the Loving Shepherd
you, the sheep once lost, now found,
you’re now a member of My flock
your life forever safe and sound.

LIFE BATTLE

Put on all the armour needed
the mighty sword of God,
to fight life’s fiercest battle
in His service ever trod.

To raze the walls of darkness
of the only miscreant foe,
with the mighty horn of truth
just like the walls of Jericho.

Cut the chains of doubt and fear
that keep us from His light divine,
the light that binds us one and all
to His Victory, yours and mine.

Listen not to evil’s prodding
enticing, luring, to the flesh,
but to the loving, truthful, pleading
of The God of Righteousness.

DRAW TO THE LIGHT

Come, all of you, my little lights
gather close, and draw from Me,
the fuel that makes you brighter
so, soon all the world will see.

A glow that fills the darkest places
that know not, and in their plight,
are searching, grasping, groping
the light not yet, within their sight.

I’m here, just ask, and I will be
there, ere the thought is through,
My light to yours, I’m touching
caressing, caring, mending you.

You’ll become a little beacon
go out and search for other lights,
together, you’ll burn brighter
very soon, there’ll be no night.

I’m drawing you, my little candles
ever closer to My light,
to burn forever for My Father
I am the Way, I am the Life.
