SEASONS OF LOVE

So faithful are His seasons
like His love so ever true,
they come and go at His command
some with gray skies, some with blue.

No matter what their varied hue
with sorrow, joy or grief,
He tells us He is always there
His arms giving sweet relief.

The Springs' new life abundant
His nearness there to see,
in the wonders of creation
in each bird, each blossomed tree.

In Summer, nature’s full to bursting
with His mighty works and deeds,
we see His majesty and glory
come to bloom from tiny seeds.

Fall’s season blazes like the fire
of His abundant love divine,
calling all creation, come to me
take this time of rest as thine.

Cold winds and snow bring Winter
so bleak, forlorn and sad,
but He’s there in lacy beauty
His love’s always to be had.

As we live out the seasons
from new life to season’s end,
at times we feel abandoned
we’ve no one for a friend.

Know His love is ever present
though at times we do not see,
till He greets us on the threshold
from all cares will be set free.
