IN THE VALLEY

In the valley of sorrow
a sore heart is treading,
the tears of despair
in the valley shedding.

Where once there was joy
troubles now come to live,
what can I do now
what more can I give.

Weak and so tired
with the struggles of life,
beaten and broken
with battles and strife.

Lord, do You hear me
please show me the way,
to carry this burden
till You take it away.

Please walk with me Jesus
in Your heart give me rest,
and mend all my sorrows
put me not to the test.

Take away the division
the darkness, this blight,
with Your Love and Mercy
take away this dark night.
