AUTHOR OF MY LIFE

I am rent from top to bottom
my life an open book,
Lord, write upon my pages
fill every cranny, every nook.

Let the fire of Your Love
singe the pages for all time,
so all who ever see me
know I am Yours, and You are mine.

Write of Your forgiveness, and Your patience
with sinners such as me,
who rise and fall so often
like the tides upon the sea.

And when the pages are all full
in times of darkness I will see,
the light of Jesus’ messages
written by His hand for me.
