HAVEN OF THE WORD
An angel led me to your home
one bright and shining day,
a place of light and worship
where loving hearts await.
I was met with open arms
God’s love upon each face,
I was accepted without question
knowing I had found a place.
A haven where God’s Living Word
can freely be expressed,
no judgement e’er forthcoming
when my beliefs profess.
Oh Holy Spirit ever reign
on this haven of The Word,
pour forth your gifts upon them
through them, let Your love be heard.

I WANT TO BE YOURS
I want to be Yours Lord Jesus
for now and evermore,
I want to be Yours Lord Jesus
my desire grows more and more.
I open my hands Lord Jesus
and reach up to the sky,
to receive Your gifts Lord Jesus
from Your storehouse there on high.
I place my heart Lord Jesus
on Your altar everyday,
take all that’s there Lord Jesus
take it all oh Lord I pray.
For all I have Lord Jesus
is from Your mighty hand,
renew me now Lord Jesus
bring me to Your Holy Plan.
Where I will walk Lord Jesus
heart to heart and hand in hand,
on streets of gold and gladness
forever dwelling in Your land.

RISING GLORY
The day in frozen beauty wakes
in the east the rising sun partakes,
a world all cold, beauty adorned
blushing tree tops still, salute the morn.
Roof tops in their frosty dress
with remnants of the night address,
the rising glory of the sun
to put night’s shadows on the run.
All around, each jewelled and dazzling branch
bedecked in diamonds, not by chance,
touched faithfully by the Father’s Love
beauty sent to all from His Throne above.
He shows to all His constant care
He let’s us know He’s always there,
We thank You Lord, we give You praise
the Giver of each new-born day.

GROWTH IN BETHANY
Leaving our burdens, our cares and distress
we went to a place to find truth and rest,
where Jesus could mend, and the Spirit would flow
to help open our hearts, to soar and to grow.
All we did was to rest, to listen, receive
our soul’s desert flourished, He filled every need,
the people of God, rejoiced, praised and sang
the walls and the rafters with joy how they rang.
These women of God, with faces aglow
hearts quickened by the Spirit, all present to show,
once again Jesus had shown us, His mercy and love
that He dwells deep within, not only above.
There was so much compassion, our hearts overflowed
the Kingdom of Heaven descended, became our abode,
Every stage of our weekend was filled to the brim
we fed at His table and abided in Him.
I am now changed forever, no longer the same
He showed me I’m someone, now confidence reigns,
I was blind and unsure, and He taught me to BE
thank You God, and the Women of Bethany.

GREY DAYS
The day it started dull and grey
I went out, to walk and pray,
I sang to Him some songs of praise
my heart and soul to Him to raise.
Sombre though the day may be
I rejoice in Him, He makes me see,
above the clouds, the sun still shines
for I am His and He is mine.
So in times, when things are bad
I won’t let my heart be sad,
I’ll ever thank Him for the way
He cares for me each precious day.

IN YOUR PRESENCE
I bask in Your presence
my Lord and my King,
Your grace is outpouring
giving every good thing.
You feed me and clothe me
You give me to drink,
You pull me back to Your arms
when I’m too near the brink.
When in pain, I go calling
to the foot of Your Cross,
You shore up my spirits
calm the waves, when I toss.
In sorrow, You hold me
and whisper Your love,
share my tears and my sadness
call me Your precious dove.
When I seek You in joy
my heart leaps like a lamb,
as we laugh and we dance
all my love in Your hands.
I thank You Lord Jesus
for Your presence, my King,
for the rain of Your graces
and the love song You sing.

BE MY HEART
The heart that beats within me
neglected, full of sinfulness,
it’s chambers rife with drafts and cold
scarred by hurts and brokeness.
It cries out in its woundedness
though all around hear not,
it loves with all its weaknesses
it loves with all it’s got.
Longing for new life and healing
yearning only to be whole,
to beat as one with Jesus
the Ruler of my soul.
Be my heart Lord Jesus
I invite You to come in,
replace the broken rhythm
with Your heart beat from within.
